Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) is a gentle, 24-hour form of dialysis used mainly in the intensive care unit for critically ill patients whose kidneys have suddenly failed.
Because it removes fluid and waste slowly and continuously, CRRT is better tolerated than conventional hemodialysis by patients with unstable blood pressure. Our nephrology and critical-care teams deliver CRRT with close monitoring around the clock.
